En Kinótico, durante nuestra cobertura especial del Festival de San Sebastián en colaboración con FRED Film Radio, hemos charlado con José Luis Rebordinos, director del Zinemaldia desde hace más de una década. Con él hemos inaugurado las retransmisiones en streaming de nuestro set en el Palacio del Kursaal… y hemos repasado los ingredientes principales de la edición 71, que arranca este viernes 22 de septiembre con la cinta inaugural de Hayao Miyazaki – que no podrá venir a recoger su Premio Donostia“El chico y la garza”.

Otro Premio Donostia frustrado centra parte de la conversación: el del actor Javier Bardem, rostro del póster de esta edición, que tendrá que ausentarse de la cita donostiarra por culpa de la huelga de actores y actrices en Hollywood. De los paros y de cómo han afectado a San Sebastián hablamos también con José Luis Rebordinos, que se refiere a la polémica suscitada por la programación del documental “No me llame Ternera”. La entrevista conducida por Jordi Évole con el exdirigente de ETA ha suscitado críticas entre una parte de la intelectualidad conservadora y las víctimas del terrorismo, pero el festival ha decidido mantener la proyección.

José Luis Rebordinos

Licenciado en Pedagogía Especial. Director de la Unidad de Cine de Donostia Kultura durante los últimos 22 años. Director durante 21 años de la Semana de Cine Fantástico y de Terror y durante 8 del Festival de Cine y Derechos Humanos de San Sebastián.

Durante 22 años ha dirigido la colección de libros Nosferatu. Es co-autor de diferentes libros sobre cineastas vascos como Elías Querejeta, Montxo Armendáriz, Antxon Eceiza, Julio Medem, Javier Aguirresarobe, etc., así como sobre cine asiático (Shinya Tsukamoto, poeta y guerrillero del cinematógrafo) o sobre diversos temas (El dolor, los nervios culturales del sufrimiento – Breve historia del cortometraje vasco).

Antes de pasar a ocupar el cargo de Director del Festival de Cine de San Sebastián el 1 de enero del 2011, formó parte de su Comité de Dirección durante los últimos 15 años. En 2015 el Consejo de Ministros le concedió la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en las Bellas Artes.
