Toma Cuzin – actor – Aferim!

FRED’s Chiara Nicoletti interviews Cuzin Toma, actor of the film Aferim! by Radu Jude, from the main competition of the 65th Berlin International Film Festival.

In Aferim!, Toma Cuzin plays the part of the gypsy who the policeman Constandin is chasing. Carfin (Toma Cuzin) is a gypsy slave who dares to court his owner’s wife, the lady of the village and for this reason he has to run away.

Plot: In 19th century Romania, Costandin, a policeman of the time and his son travel through the country in search of a fugitive Gypsy slave.
