FRED intervista il regista Iraniano Saeed Roustaee, che ha presentato Just 6.5 nella sezione Orizzonti della 76a Mostra d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia. In questa intervista ci dice perchè ha voulto girare un lungometraggio sul tema della droga e la ragione per cui i personaggi di Just 6.5 non siano così facilmente definibili come buoni o cattivi.

Just 6.5: La città trabocca di drogati, molti dei quali non hanno una casa. Samad, membro della squadra narcotici della polizia, è sulle tracce di un boss della droga, Nasser Khakzad. Dopo varie operazioni, Samad riesce a rintracciarlo nel suo attico, dove l’uomo ha tentato il suicidio. Sopravvissuto, Nasser attraversa tutte le fasi del procedimento legale, fino alla condanna a morte e all’esecuzione, ma Samad si rende conto che a far arrivare Nasser a quel punto sono state anche le drammatiche condizioni sociali in cui si è ritrovato a vivere.
