Peter Kubelka – Filmmaker and Co-founder of the Österreichisches Filmmuseum
Legendary avant garde filmmaker Peter Kubelka was present at this year’s edition of IL CINEMA RITROVATO, and FRED caught up with him to re-live some key moments of his illustrious and influential filmmaking career. Kubelka also announced the end of his filmmaking work, with his special screening of MONUMENT FILM, which he describes as the end of a cycle.
We also chat with him about the other great achievement of his life and his activities as co-founder of the Österreichisches Filmmuseum, that has been a landmark destination to cinephiles and film students all around the world for over 50 years. Kubelka also shares with us some of his strong views and opinions on film and the digitalisation of cinema.
