Festival director Nashen Moodley unpacks this year’s program that includes over 240 films from 67 countries, 37 world premieres and more than 123 Australian premieres. The program is made up of 90 features films and 54 documentaries that “stands as a testament to its ambitious vision, showcasing a dynamic and expansive line-up of both emerging and established filmmakers from around the world”, says Nashen. A selection of thought-provoking films that encourage the audience to reflect on society, human nature and our contemporary global communities.
Sydney Film Festival takes place from 7th to 18th June at its flagship venue the State Theatre, as well as cinemas in the CBD, Newtown, Cremorne, Randwick, Western Sydney and more.
