PODCAST | Laura Della Corte interviews Nakamura Mayu and Nahana, director and actress of the film She is me, I am her.
In the interview with Nakamura Mayu and Nahana, director and actress of She Is Me, I Am Her, we talked about one of the episodes called Ms. Ghost, which stages a real mirroring between two women.
She is me, I am her: In the four episodes that make it up and which were all written by Nakamura, there are indeed masks, but the pain of the main protagonists – all played by the versatile and expert Nahana – is far from dampened. The film eloquently supports the thesis of the importance of creatively analyzing the impact of the pandemic on normal or even not quite common existences. Despite their common element, however, the four episodes also work well as autonomous narratives, and Nahana, who performs a veritable interpretative tour de force in the film, fits perfectly into the shoes of four completely different characters.
