A conversation with Nabwana IGG and Alan Hofmanis about the Ugandan action/horror film studio Wakaliwood. Nabwana IGG is the founder and creative force behind Wakaliwood, while Alan Hofmanis is a producer who, years ago decided to fly over them and help them blow stuff up — cinematically speaking! In this interview, they introduce the studio to our listeners, as well as its history and hopes for the future. They also talk about Wakaliwood’s latest production, Crazy World, which premiered in Toronto last year, was recently featured in the program of the We Are One global film festival and is set to make its formal debut on digital platforms.
