Morgan Neville, Oscar winning director of the documentary 20 Feet from Stardom, was at the 66th Berlinale to present his latest film The Music of Strangers: Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk Road Ensemble as one of the festival’s Special Galas. Dealing once again with music, this time Neville follows the legendary cellist Yo-Yo Ma and his fellow musicians of the Silk Road Ensemble as they tour around the world. While film, Neville interviews some of the musicians, with the aim to investigate into their personal stories and backgrounds, in order to allow his audience into their world.
