Michel Gondry, director, Is the man who is tall happy?
Festival section: Panorama
FRED meets Michael Gondry to talk about his new “animated” documentary IS THE MAN WHO IS TALL HAPPY? presented at the 64th Berlinale in the Panorama section. Gondry had always had the idea of doing an animated documentary and when he got the chance to meet Noah Chomsky, he thought that an animated conversation with Chomsky could be the perfect idea. Through a series of interviews, Michel Gondry illustrates Noah Chomsky’s theories in an animated documentary, where Gondry’s creativity and imagination serve Chomsky’s intellectual rigour. Using animated drawings, Michel Gondry brings into light N. Chomsky as both an eminent professor and as a man.
