Bénédicte Prot, educated at Magdalen College, Oxford, and La Sorbonne, has worked as a film journalist and critic since 2005, in French, English, Italian, and Spanish.
Alongside her long-term collaborations with Cineuropa and Culturopoing, she’s had work published in Le Journal : rue des Beaux-Arts, Ubiquarian, amongst others.
She was a member of the hot-headed team of film critics debating in the show “Chaos sur le ring” on Radio Néo, has been a reporter for Fred Film Radio for ten years and was also involved in the pilot programme Fred at School.
She has covered a range of film festivals, doing reviews and interviews, including Cannes, Berlin, Venice, Marrakech, Kustendorf.
She is a member of the SNCC (Syndicat national de la critique cinématographique).
When she isn’t watching films or thinking about film, chances are she’s either out and about in the Balkans or in Tuscany, dancing Cuban salsa or practicing capoeira.
