FRED’s Nicolò Comotti interviews Jonas Carpignano, director of the film MEDITERRANEA. The film, which has enjoyed a successful run and critical acclaim since its premiere earlier in the year at the Cannes Film Festival, was also screened at the 72nd Venice Film Festival, where we caught up with him.
The Venice screening marked the occasion of the film being named one of the finalists of this year’s edition of the LUX Prize, which means that as a result, and people all over Europe will at least be getting one chance to see it on the big screen at a selected film festival or film event in each of the countries of the European Union. Jonas Carpignano talks to us about his film, and mentions how he feels lucky and honoured to have been bestowed the honour of being one of the finalists for the LUX Prize 2015.
