Ingvar Sigurðsson gives a stunning performance as the father in A White,White Day, an Icelandic thriller drama directed by Hlynur Pàlmason ( which won the Best Film award at the Torino Film Festival 2019). He talks with Angelo Acerbi in Berlin at the European Film Awards 2019 about this role, his work with director and friend Pàlmason and how he approaches each character he chooses to play.
A White White Day: In a remote Icelandic town, an off-duty police chief begins to suspect a local man of having had an affair with his late wife, who died in a tragic accident two years earlier. Gradually his obsessions for finding out the truth accumulates and inevitably begins to endanger himself and his loved ones. A story of grief, revenge and unconditional love.
