Edoardo Pesce: “Il mio personaggio rappresenta tutto ciò che di grottesco ha il fascismo”

Presentato Fuori Concorso al 42° Torino Film Festival, “Ho visto un re“, il nuovo film di Giorgia Farina, arriverà nelle sale italiane con Medusa Film nel 2025

Con Edoardo Pesce e Sara Serraiocco tra i protagonisti, il film è tratto incredibilmente da una storia vera ed è stato scritto da Giorgia Farina con Franco Bernini e Valter Lupo. 

Edoardo Pesce interpreta un Podestà che nel 1936, ai tempi della guerra in Etiopia, tiene prigioniero nella voliera del suo giardino, un Principe africano. Per il piccolo Emilio, suo figlio, diventerà invece un eroe e un amico. 

Del suo personaggio, l’unico che nella favola di Giorgia Farina, non si evolve ma rimane fermo nella sua ottusità, Pesce dice: “Il mio personaggio rappresenta tutto ciò che di grottesco ha il fascismo”.

Plot

1936, ai tempi della guerra in Etiopia, l’incredibile storia vera di un Principe africano catturato e tenuto prigioniero in una voliera nel giardino del Podestà, sotto gli sguardi increduli degli abitanti della piccola cittadina della provincia italiana. Si chiama Abraham Imirrù ma per il piccolo Emilio è Sandokan, e sarà il suo eroe.
