Guillermo Arriaga directed a new mid-length film, No One Left Behind, which was presented out of competition at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival. The Mexican filmmaker and longtime collaborators of such cineastes as Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, tells us about this timely film that in a unique way explores the theme of multiculturality and, particularly, comments on the strained relations between the U.S. and Mexico. Besides this, we also ask him about the solemnity of the way in which in No One Left Behind, he portrays the central aspect of death.
