Giada Colagrande talks to us about her latest film Padre, an intimate portrayal of mourning and remembrance, starring Willem Dafoe, Marina Abramovic and Franco Battiato. Padre will be having its UK premiere at the UK Film Festival in Novembre 2018, following its premiere at the Lucca Film Festival.
Padre: Giulia has just lost her father, the great music composer Giulio Fontana. Through music he contacts her from the other dimension and leads her to an initiation into the invisible world. A heartfelt tale about art, family and grief, conceived by Giada Colagrande, whose cast features personalities such as Willem Dafoe, Franco Battiato and Marina Abramovic.
The Lovers Film Festival celebrates 40 years with 70 films from 26 countries, international guests and tributes to LGBTQI+ cinema icons. Directed by Vladimir Luxuria, from 10 to 17 April at the Cinema Massimo in Turin.
