An interview with Frédéric Dubois, producer and transmedia expert, and one of the mentors and experts of the 2019 East Doc Platform in Prague, Czech Republic. As an expert, we ask Dubois to help us decipher the meaning behind the terms interactive documentary and transmedia. Another term that he helps us reflect upon is “impact,” a word that is thrown around a lot in the industry but can mean many things to different people. In this interview, Dubois also takes the time to talk about a new project of his that he is currently post-producing – Field Trip, an open source doc about the Tempelhof Field in Berlin.
