"Fingernails", interview with director Christos Nikou Chiara Nicoletti
At Kinótico, on the occasion of our special coverage of the San Sebastian Film Festival, in collaboration with FRED Film Radio, we talked to Christos Nikou, director of “Fingernails (Esto va a doler)”. The greek director competes for the Concha de Oro with his second film, after his debut feature, “Apples“, was selected and premiered in Telluride, Toronto and Venice International Film Festival.
For his first film in english, Christos Nikou was surrounded by a cast of international stars such as Jessie Buckley, Riz Ahmed, Jeremy Allen White, Luke Wilson and Annie Murphy.
“Fingernails” is written by Christos Nikou with Stavros Raptis and Sam Steiner and it is produced by Nikou himself along with Cate Blanchett, Andrew Upton and Coco Francini for Dirty Films and Lucas Wiesendanger for FilmNation. The film will be released worldwide on Apple TV from November 3rd, 2023.
