She convinced us of her talent while playing a treasured Swedish icon, showcasing her fine singing voice. Thanks to Edda’s sparkling presence, audiences outside Sweden are introduced to the complex personality and star quality of jazz singer Monica Zetterlund.
Edda Magnason is a SwedishIcelandic musician, songwriter, music producer and film actress. Her film debut is the leading role of MONICA ZETTERLUND, the legendary Swedish jazz singer, in the film WALTZ FOR MONICA by Danish director Per Fly. In addition to her featured performance in the film, Edda also performed the repertoire of Zetterlund in the film. This follows the release of her two other albums, Edda Magnason (2010) and Goods (2011).
