Cristèle Alves Meira découvre Duarte, le protagoniste de Hero Invisible, dans le casting pour un longmétrage; elle comprend qu’on pouvait pas attendre si longtemps pour travailler avec Duarte et les deux créent ce film. Une histoire de fiction, mais un documentaire aussi, avec un protagoniste non-voyant fantastique et vivant.

Heros Invisible: Duarte, la cinquantaine, non-voyant, se lance à la recherche de son ami capverdien, Leandro. Malgré la chaleur de l’été lisboète, Duarte arpente les rues de son quartier, mais personne ne semble avoir vu ni même connu ce dernier. Son enquête va l’emmener au cœur de la nuit, jusqu’à révéler son secret.
