PODCAST | Claude Barras – réalisateur – Ma vie de courgette

Dans son premier long-métrage, l’illustrateur Claude Barras revient sur son désir de longue date d’adapter l’histoire de Courgette et d’en faire un film qui convienne aux adultes comme aux enfants en lui donnant la forme d’une oeuvre d’animation en stop motion. Il raconte comment Céline Sciamma a rejoint le projet en tant que scénariste pour y apporter sa sensibilité pudique et répond à nos questions sur le choix du ton à donner au film, sur ses personnages et sur l’optimisme qui y persiste malgré tout.

MA VIE DE COURGETTE: Après un événement traumatisant, Courgette, désormais “sans papa ni maman”, est accueilli dans un foyer d’enfants dans la même situation. Ensemble, ils apprennent à surmonter leurs différentes souffrances, à retrouver une confiance (en eux et dans les autres, y compris les adultes) et à se reconstruire une famille. Un film d’animation en stop motion scénarisé par Céline Sciamma qui a énormément touché la Croisette.
