Chiara Bellosi ha costruito un film gentile e poetico sull’amicizia e sulla durezza dell’adolescenza, quando ci si sente fuori posto sempre e con tutti. Calcinculo ci trasporta in un mondo difficile ma non tragico, dove due solitudini, quella di Benedetta, ragazzina timida e sovrappeso, e di Amanda, persona non binaria e fiera, forza della natura, debole ma solida. Chiara Bellosi racconta come ha gestito queste due solitudini sullo schermo e come ha portato Andrea Carpenzano a questa interpretazione superlativa.

Calcinculo: Forse è vero che si cresce anche a calci in culo. Ed è vero che quando la giostra gira veloce ci sembra di volare e non vorremmo scendere mai. È questo che succede a Benedetta quando incontra Amanda e decide di seguirla nel suo mondo randagio.
