The Iranian Film Festival Australia (IFFA) returns for its sixth year, shining a spotlight on contemporary life in Iran in cinemas across Australia.
Co-festival director Armin Miladi talks about the Iranian film industry that is bursting with creativity and new energy in this new political era. IFFA has hand-picked the very best. The line-up includes Life and a Day, the debut feature from 26-year-old Saeed Roostaie which won several awards, Reza Mirkarimi’s award winning Daughter, directly from Cannes Asghar Farhadi’s The Salesman and fresh from Berlin Reza Dormeshian’s Lantouri. All Australian premieres (with the exception of The Salesman, which premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival this year).
