PODCAST | Matt Micucci interviews Andrea Culková, director of the film Grief.
An interview with filmmaker Andrea Culková, who presented her latest film Grief at the 2020 One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival in Prague, Czech Republic. The film follows a group of female environmental activists and also talks a lot about the introduction of emotions in environmental discourse. In this chat, Culková tells us more about the grief of the movie (the title translates from Czech as “The Grief of Women”), about climate change and other plagues of our planet, the film’s structure and concludes with some thoughts on the current Coronavirus outbreak.
Grief: GRIEF. The heroines of the film are seriously concerned about the future of humanity and the planet. They organise activist events within the Czech branch of the Extinction Rebellion movement, which raises awareness about the impacts of the global environmental crisis.
