Interview with Alireza Khatami & Ali Asgari , directors of Terrestrial Verses, presented at the 76th Festival de Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section.
Terrestrial Verses: Iranian directors Alireza Khatami and Ali Asgari met in Venice some years ago and decided to join forces and co-direct Terrestrial Verses, premiering at the 76th Festival de Cannes in the Un Certain Regard Section. The film aims to explore power dynamics in contemporary Iranian society but at the same time manages to invite the audience to evaluate power in their own lives. As it is very personal and focused on real stories happened in Iran, the film is very universal.
