Michelangelo Frammartino torna a Venezia con il suo ultimo film Il Buco, un’opera che invita alla riflessione e all’ascolto. Il Buco riscopre l’Abisso del Bifurto, e con questo risveglia il nostro rapporto con la storia e la coscienza. Il Buco è in competizione alla 78esima mostra del Cinema.

Il Buco : Durante il boom economico degli anni Sessanta, l’edificio più alto d’Europa viene costruito nel prospero Nord Italia. All’altra estremità del paese, un gruppo di giovani speleologi esplora la grotta più profonda d’Europa nell’incontaminato entroterra calabrese. Si raggiunge, per la prima volta, il fondo dell’abisso del Bifurto, a 700 metri di profondità. L’avventura degli intrusi passa inosservata agli abitanti di un piccolo paese vicino, ma non al vecchio pastore dell’altopiano del Pollino la cui vita solitaria comincia ad intrecciarsi con il viaggio del gruppo. Il buco racconta di una bellezza naturale che lascia senza parole e sfiora il mistico; una esplorazione attraverso le profondità sconosciute della vita e della natura che mette in parallelo due grandi viaggi interiori.
