Dopo 365 without 377 e Rebel Menopause, Adele Tulli torna al documentario abbandonandone i classici stilemi. Con Normal, presentato nella sezione Panorama del 69esimo Festival di Berlino, costruisce un atlante nelle norme, gli stereotipi, le convenzioni di genere nell’Italia di oggi attraverso immagini e musica tratti dalla nostra vita quotidiana, dalle bambine alle feste ai bambini sulle foto fino ad addii al nubilato e matrimoni. Un unico interrogativo alla base: quali sono queste convenzioni, queste norme di genere che influiscono in qualche modo sul nostro agire quotidiano? Adele Tulli analizza la nostra realtà e prova ad indurre una riflessione che può incontrare un pubblico internazionale.

Normal: Un viaggio e un atlante inaspettato nelle norme, gli stereotipi, le convenzioni di genere dell’Italia di oggi.Un cammino lungo quei confini che chiamiamo maschile e femminile.Un racconto per immagini delle complesse dinamiche attraverso cui costruiamo e abitiamo le nostre identità di genere.
