Non poteva che presentare Fashion Babylon al Festival LGBT della sua città, Torino, Gianluca Matarrese. Al 37° Lovers Film festival infatti, partecipa, nella sezione Real Lovers, con questo viaggio attraverso la creatività della libertà. Compagni di viaggio e protagonisti del suo film Michelle Elie (designer e icona della moda), Casey Spooner (performer e musicista) e Violet Chachki (vincitrice di “RuPaul’s Drag Race”).

Fashion Babylon: Gianluca Matarrese abbatte le quinte del mondo della moda e delle sfilate restituendo un documentario vivace, tenero, contraddittorio e profondamente onesto. Per un lungo periodo il regista ha seguito gli impegni mondani e lavorativi di Michelle Elie (designer e icona della moda), Casey Spooner (performer e musicista) e Violet Chachki (vincitrice di “RuPaul’s Drag Race”), vere e proprie celebrità e resident alle passerelle di Milano, Parigi e New York.
