PODCAST | Chiara Nicoletti interviews Hugh Jackman, actor of the filmThe Greatest Showman.
It is because of the energy, talent and perseverance of Hugh Jackman if The Greatest Showman, the musical film directed by Michael Gracey, has been made and is out in cinemas worldwide. The actor tells us the story behind the making of the musical in a special Skype interview in company of his co-stars Zac Efron and Zendaya and director Gracey. The Tony Award winner is obviously not new to the musical genre and he was the one who suggested Gracey to direct the film, as his first feature film. The two had previously met during the shooting of a commercial and Jackman became very fond of this young but talented director. In the film Jackman plays P. T. Barnum, the man who invented the Circus as we know it today by believing in those who were bullied and put aside by society because of their being different, because of their diversity and oddness. The Greatest Showman is a modern and musical homage to diversity as what makes us all special.
The Greatest Showman: Inspired by the imagination of P.T. Barnum, The Greatest Showman is an original musical that celebrates the birth of show business and tells of a visionary who rose from nothing to create a spectacle that became a worldwide sensation.
