Avec un mélange entre forme documentaire et narrative, Guldem Durmaz nous amène avec elle dans son voyage interieur aussi de recherche de ses racines. Una partie phantasmagorique avec Denis Lavant en forme de centaure qui conduit la réalisatrice à travers ses mémoires rend le film autant amusant que poignant.

Kazarken: During an ancient healing rite in Anatolia, a woman moves in a dream state. Her guide is a mythological figure, the centaur Kheiron, who subjects her to a form of psychoanalysis with a savage flair. A journey through time, which takes the woman from the present back to her home village where, in 1915, the entire Armenian population disappeared into thin air, and to the millenary ruins of a Roman-era hospital, where the sick were cured with sacred water and dreamlike visions.
