Lorenz Merz, Filmmaker, Cherry Pie.
FRED’s Matt Micucci meets filmmaker Lorenz Merz, who talks about his CHERRY PIE, which was shown at the 59th Cork Film Festival. Lorenz talks to us about his exciting travelling experimentation, setting off on a journey with an actress and letting the story come out impulsively. He also talks how the film was constructed, shot and the relationship of trust that was built up between him and his actress.
CHERRY PIE is the story of a young woman named Zoe who sets off on a journey to lose herself – instead of finding herself – and in the process, the facets of her personality seem to fade away and disappear.
