The 71st edition of the Venice Film Festival is fast approaching. FRED Film Radio once again has the pleasure of being media partner at the event and as part of our coverage we will be keeping a close eye on this year’s edition of the Venice Film Market.

So, in the final weeks preceding the festival, we catch up with the director of the Venice Film Market PASCAL DIOT, to tells us about the importance of a market at one of the top 3 festivals in the world. He also talks to us about what to expect this year at the third edition of the festivals, with features such as an Italian Cinema Industry Focus and the first European Gap Financing Co-Production Market to be taking place. We also talk about what the market offers to producers, distributors, agents and film industry people attending as well as just how international the VFM really is.
