Anna Margarita Albelo and Guinevere Turner - Who's Afraid of Vagina Wolf? fredfilmradio
Anna Margarita Albelo (Director, co-writer, co-producer and actress), Guinevere Turner (Actress), Who’s Afraid of Vagina Wolf?.
Festival Section: Bodies.
Filmmaker Anna Margarita Albelo and actress Guinevere Turner talk to FRED about the film WHO’S AFRAID OF VAGINA WOLF?, from the BFI Flare London LGBT Film Festival.
Anna Margarita Albelo (Hooters) returns to our screens with this wonderful semi-autobiographical offering about a filmmaker named Anna who at 40 is still single and living in her friend’s garage. Flanked by best friends (Guinevere Turner and True Blood’s Carrie Preston), Anna is set move on from failing to get film grants and dancing about in a vagina costume. She is finally forced out of her rut when she meets the sexy post-feminist Katia, and offers her the lead in her new movie to impress her, but then has to speed-write a script for her to star in and turns for inspiration to Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Funny, brutally honest and fabulously silly.
Reporter: Matt Micucci.
